I OPPOSE SB599-FN. The funds in the REF should be spent for their original purpose. Emptying the REF of most of its funds would not move NH in a positive direction. I urge you to OPPOSE it.

I oppose this bill because I believe all the funds in this account should be used for the original purpose of creating more renewable energy in NH.

I think that that all of the funds in the REF should be spent for their original purpose: deploying more local renewable generation in New Hampshire.

CENH believes that raiding the REF essentially creates a new electric tax on consumers that previously didn’t exist. While we appreciate that lawmakers in the Senate fought to leave $1 million in the REF per year, we believe that all of the funds in the REF should be spent for their original purpose: deploying more local renewable generation in New Hampshire

This bill takes away most of the funds that were in the REF, and prohibits any remaining money from being used to support individual residential solar initiatives. This is not reasonable or logical. Every renewable source is viable and worthy of continuing support.

Isn't taking funds from the REF like creating a new electric tax on consumers. It is positive that the Senate fought to leave $1 million in the REF per year, but all of the funds in the REF should be spent for their original purpose: deploying more local renewable generation in New Hampshire

Money designated for Renewable Energy Funds should not be swept into the General Fund. It should remain available for Renewable Energy Projects. It should then be USED for Renewable Energy Projects, rather than left unused.

It is so important to strengthen the energy supply for New Hampshire residents, and make it more economical.

Thermal and solar should be paid for privately, not with tax payer money. The ROI is not fiscally responsible.
