Amy Basbas for Myself Bedford I am an educator and a parent of a second-grader and fourth-grader in Bedford, NH. My daughter actually had the pleasure of meeting you during her recent field trip to the State House. I know how supportive you are of our students, and I am writing to ask you to oppose SB 571. This bill will cause irreparable harm to our schools and communities. We cannot fix NH education by simply filling our best-performing schools to capacity and beyond, draining their resources and threatening everything that makes those schools work, while ignoring the needs of the vulnerable districts. This bill will only exacerbate existing inequalities and create chaos for teachers, parents, administrators, and districts. Please give voters the chance to engage in deeper conversations about education issues in NH and the needs of our children. Please do NOT pass this bill. | Bedford | Oppose | 868 | Mar 25, 2026 | |
