I totally oppose SB434 because it is nonsensical. The process already exists for parents to appeal and to voice concern. This bill only exists for the few parents who are not satisfied with the results of any appeals or concerns. Ironically, they will never be satisfied. Do not add additional burden and time-suck to an already overburdened school administration.

We owe it to our elders to take care of them, as they did us.

This bill removes the resource limit for the Medicare savings program and, subject to CMS approval, makes the low income subsidy for Medicare Part D available to residents to assist with prescription drug costs. CMS should approve this change proposed, This is a much needed bill, a much needed change, when everything is becoming more difficult to afford, we need our residents to be able to afford their medications, it is much more costly when someone runs out of meds, when they cannot afford them. This is a helpful bill.

As a case manager who cares for people receiving Medicare and LIS benefits, I can attest to the fact that this program contributes to the overall health and wellbeing of Granite Staters. Please assure that this program remains strong for our seniors living close to the poverty line.
