The 2nd amendment of the constitution is a right that the founders of our country intended for every citizen to have without government infringement.

I support commonsense gun safety laws and restrictions. We have no need of assault-style rifles or other weapons of mass destruction whose only purpose it to kill as many things as possible in a short amount of time. 2A has two clauses. Most gun fanatics forget the first part. Red flag laws and restrictions on types of weapons are for everyone's safety.

I support this, the NH state constitution says that "all persons have the right to bear arms" and I think its federal overreach to pass any laws that infringe on this right.

The Constitutional Amendment gives plenty of rights. Likely too many. Gun ownership should be more regulated not expanded

Congress and the President don't do enough to protect us against gun violence. We don't need increased protections for gun owners. Please oppose this bill.

Dear members of the House-State Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs Committee, I’m writing to oppose HR-20. Every day, nearly 130 people in the United States are killed with guns; the average number of people killed with each year is 46,684. The gun homicide rate in the U.S. is 26 times higher than that of other developed countries. We have a gun violence crises—it’s heartbreaking, it’s scary, and it’s unacceptable. Research shows that common sense public safety laws can reduce gun violence and save lives. I urge you to oppose HR-20 and instead, draft legislation that will focus on life-saving common sense measures rather than legislation for even more unfettered gun rights. Thank you for your consideration, Theresa Vaillancourt Goffstown, NH
