Our state is in a financial crisis and I agree that we should not spend state, county or municipal funds to build or renovate buildings for detention centers. Likewise, we should not sell any buildings to be used as detention centers. We do not have enough Correction Officers to staff our State Prisons and county jails. We do not want to lose our trained personnel to federal detention centers.
