I support this bill which will provide clear guidelines for homeowners, business owners, and municipalities around installing battery systems. Increased adoption of energy storage systems will shave peak demand and reduce grid stress. By enabling rules around storage, this will encourage more adoption.

I strongly support this bill. This bill helps to protect the energy grid, especially during times of peak demand.

The NHDOE should be able to adopt rules for installing and interconnecting customer energy storage systems such as batteries to the grid and gives the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) authority to approve related tariffs. It overlaps substantially with another bill we’re supporting this session, HB1718-FN.

As a member of the NH Audubon Conservation Committee I encourage you to support this bill. Having the Energy Department establish consistent rules clarifying energy storage is a positive for NH. As more alternative energy comes on line it is important the quality standards are met for the for public safety and for the environment. Please support this bill.

This bill requires an electric utility to move a customer-generator back to default service if the customer-generator was enrolled in a third-party electricity supply program without explicit consent. It also requires the utility to retroactively apply net metering credits for up to 6 months for any exported kWh that were not credited because of the inadvertent enrollment. This would protect customer-generators from administrative mistakes by the utilities.

I support enabling rules around storage, this encourages renewables adoption.
