Requiring a voter’s date of birth is unnecessary here.

Rape kits provide essential evidence, which must be properly handled and preserved in order for victims to have access to to everything which brings them the best chance for justice, and healing.

You don't need to know a voter's DOB. Teenagers won't register to vote anyway unless dragged by their parents. Focus on integrity of elected officials.

This bill is an invasion of privacy for every voter. Those voter checklists are visually viewable by the pubic and therefore exposes private information unnecssarily. Given the proof of identity which is now required this requirement is unncessary and exposure of information that should otherwise be private.

a voter’s year of birth on the voter checklist is irrelevant. We don't need that.

Please oppose this bill, which would allow a voter's birth year to be shown on the voter checklist. There is no practical need for the birth year to be included; no problem is solved. Including birth year leaves the majority of data required for identity theft on a list that is within view of the public. A quick photo of a page could cause havoc. Oppose HB 1284.

I oppose this bill because it is unnecessary and violates our right to privacy: existing RSA 654:7 specifies voter data including date of birth on a voter registration form. A voter CAN NOT be added state checklist without it. Ergo, birthdate/birth year requirement is defacto in place. 654:31 allows anyone, for any reason, to request a public voter checklist, so that this private information could now be acquired by any bad actor in- and out of the state. It violates NH Constitution Article 2b “An individual's right to live free from governmental intrusion in private or personal information is natural, essential, and inherent.”

I am an independent voter. I am very concerned about the erosion of voting rights in NH. I read that we used to be next to last for voting rights, but now we are last. The hardest state for US citizens to vote in. And HB 1284 adds another step, another barrier, to the voting process. Please stand up for NH citizens and vote down this bill. Thank you.

I do not think this information should be public on voter records- it is an invasion of privacy and not necessary for voting. There is no reason to know a voter's age unless you are using it to restrict or limit voting opportunities.

Our democracy should encourage everyone to vote and not restrict voting. Are we going to remain a democracy that honors its people's wishes or not?

If the state of NH would pay its fair share, we taxpayers would save far more on property taxes. Stop the gop tax scam for once and for all. NH must fund public education. GOP lawmakers pretend to lower taxes, but it's only for the rich, so New Hampshire families pay for it in the end.

I don’t see the need for requiring this information on the voter checklist, and it could become problematic in making personal data publicly available.

I oppose HB1284 because there is absolutely no valid basis for including year of birth on the voter registration checklist. All that matters is if the person is at least 18 years old and therefore old enough to vote. "Live free or die" means the state should govern with a light touch, including respecting privacy by eschewing any personal information unless it serves a valid public purpose and is narrowly tailored. HB1284 fails.
