I oppose this bill because it reduces transparency or public accountability and does not meaningfully improve outcomes for New Hampshire residents.

Fish and Game officers should be conducting Fish and Game duties ONLY. They are protecting the natural resources of the state and ensuring they are available to use by all inhabitants of the state now and in the future. The natural resources of this state including the flora and fauna are one of the reasons many in the state choose to live here, and why many choose to spend their tourism dollars here. I personally pay hundreds of dollars each year to maintain my various Fish and Game related license. I happily spend that money knowing it will be spent protecting the recourses I love and enjoy in the state. I am happy that my money pays the people who protect the natural resources. Even if the money to pay Fish and Game officers to do other work in the state comes out of another agencies budget, it still means the officers are not doing the work of protecting the natural recourses of the state. One way or the other, those funds are ultimately paid by my tax dollars, and my fees and I do not want my money spent to have Fish and Game officers doing anything other than protecting the natural recourses of the state.
