I oppose this bill because it adds additional barriers to generating more affordable housing in NH, which is critical to the state's continued growth and success.

Please stop the drive to make workforce housing unaffordable.

I state my opinion for this bill for the benefit of all NH voters.

This bill puts up barriers to creating housing especially for the disabled and their caregivers

This state has an actual, real housing crisis on our hands. I've been lucky that I had space IN my house to help out some friends who needed it. People unrelated to each other are co-living together more and more to just be able to afford housing. More (and more private) options would allow for this to be easier, keeping people out of shelters, off the streets, and out of dangerous and transitory housing situations.

NH needs to be more creative to start making advances to our housing shortages. This Bill does not do that.

Manufactured housing within New Hampshire should be left alone. It's bad enough that the economy is doing poor, so do not take this out on manufactured house owners.

This should be the property owner's decision, and the State should not micromanage it.

We should not limit the possibility of more housing units

Libraries should be controlled by the people and not by the government--to preserve critical thinking and avoid authoritarianism.

NH is in desperate need of affordable housing. We need to support creative solutions!

This is for the sake of all NH voters.

I strongly oppose HB 1585 because allowing municipalities to prohibit accessory dwelling units that use manufactured housing undermines affordable housing options and reinforces exclusionary zoning. Manufactured homes and ADUs are two of the most important tools New Hampshire has to address its housing shortage. Redefining manufactured housing to exclude ADUs will reduce supply, increase costs, and harm seniors, disabled residents, and working families who rely on these attainable housing types.

This Bill relative to the definition of manufactured housing does not help our housing crisis.

The members of the NH Council on Developmental Disabilities believes this bill would have a negative impact on the Granite State disability community. Making it more difficult for homeowners to install accessory dwelling units (ADUs) based solely off of the type of housing they live in only serves to create new barriers to the ease of burdens that adding an ADU to house a person with a disability or a caregiver can bring. It is better for all to decrease the barriers to adding ADUs in order for more individuals living with disabilities to find accessible housing and more caregivers to find housing in a space that makes providing services easier. This bill only adds more regulatory barriers to this type of housing than it does ease any real crisis.
