This bill is unnecssary and should be opposed.

yet another voter suppression bill.

Students at age 18-22 are at a pivotal moment in their lives. They may have come from families in Texas and decide they want to stay here the rest of their lives. They may have grown up here but want to move to Utah. Especially if you deny them the ability to vote while they're here, given the state of the USPS.

I don't think there needs to be a NH constitutional amendment regarding who has a right to vote when it is already established by law.

We need to make voting easier not harder.

Why would you not want young voters to participate in Democracy? There is no evidence that voters who live in a dorm are incompetent or somehow cheaters - this bill is Inexpedient to legislate.

What are you planning next? A poll tax? Leave voters' rights in place.

I oppose this bill on the grounds that it limits voters’ rights to vote in NH. College students and absentee voters will be negatively impacted by this bill. I oppose this bill.

These stipulations are already US law.

I oppose this bill on principle for the good of NH voters regarding taxes.

We need to increase not decrease the business profits tax

This is one of those bills which solves a problem with doesn't exist. What it will do however, is to unnecessarily create barriers and confusion for eligible overseas voters.

Please work to make voting easier for people, not more difficult.

OPPOSE — Unnecessary constitutional amendment that addresses a non-existent problem, reinforces false narratives about voter eligibility, and lays groundwork for future voting restrictions.

This is another alarming and unnecessary bill. Federal law provides for US citizens to vote where they reside. NH's onerous 1569 already requires citizens living in NH to provide proof of domicile. It is a simple concept. Is is not necessary to create new concepts like "legal resident" for citizens. A law stating that citizens must "reside in the place they claim as domicile" is not necessary. There is no good reason for a bill like this. I suspect the goal is to simply create more confusion and difficulty around the election process. Please stop spending time trying to make life even harder for NH voters.

My name is Karen and I live and vote in Bristol. I OPPOSE this law because this bill seeks to put into the NH Constitution things that are already in law - that one must be a citizen and legal resident of a community to vote. This is already the case.

I adamantly oppose this bill which seeks to put into the NH Constitution things that are ALREADY in law and widely believed. This is a complete waste of time for discussion

I oppose this bill that would invoke a Constitutional amendment revising the requirements to vote, adding U.S. citizenship and "actually reside in the place they claim as domicile." Registrants already swear, by signing the form, that the voting registration information they provide is accurate.

Domicile is where you chose to participate for your civic engagement. There are countless situations where my current town is the One and ONLY place I vote, but for some points in time I may be living in a location that is not my domicile and would never vote there. What we need is everyone to be voting in one place. Participation and taking responsibility for all of the government we buy needs to be the priority, not trying to exclude people.
