I support this bill because I believe the task force established by this bill would develop market-based solutions and programs for the electric system reliability using energy storage. This could also lower electricity prices during peak times and make the energy market more cost-effective for consumers.

Large scale storage has served in other ISOs to bring down costs and increase reliability for the grid. Costs continue to come down so that large scale storage is now, and will increasingly become, the lowest cost and best alternative to pair with both conventional and renewable generating assets within the NH and larger New England grid. A storage task force can nail these costs and benefits down at a minimal cost to NH residents

This bill would set. up a task force to set up arrangements that are based on market based solutions using energy storage and would provide a reliable energy system. It could lower energy costs for all customers by lowering expenses during peak energy times.

We know that energy production and storage is a big challenge going into the future. It therefore only makes good fiscal sense to establish an energy reliability and large-scale storage task force to develop market-based solutions and programs for electric system reliability using energy storage. Energy storage can smooth out fluctuations in renewable generation and improve the grid’s ability to handle both peak demand and supply disruptions - especially as more intermittent renewable energy sources (like solar and wind) are integrated into the grid. This could also lower electricity prices during peak times and make the energy market more cost- effective for consumers.

I installed solar panels on my roof taking into account net metering. The PUC should not be able to change net metering compensation retroactively.
