How about offering better funded PUBLIC schools so enrichment programs are available to ALL students!!!

We cannot support a bill with these costs when the State is failing to meet its basic constitutional obligation to provide the opportunity for a robust public education to every Granite State student. We simply do not have the funds and every signle diversion to support one small group or students or antoehr takes away from the State's ability to meet its obligation to all Granite State children.

While I support the concept of this bill, I am concerned that the scholarships will not be equitably distributed among the students. For example, there is no provision to prevent all scholarships being awarded to more students excelling in sports than in academics or other areas of excellence. The sponsors should consider adding caps on areas of excellence to ensure fairness in distribution.

I oppose this bill because there is no correlating legislation to provide scholarships for students with disabilities. Since we already have vouchers for students to attend private schools, and private schools can discriminate and not accept students with disabilities, this bill will only further the disparities and opportunities between students with disabilities and all others.

Why not fix the public school money that is funded with property taxes. For years it has been a burden on the property owners yet the powers that be refuse to fix the issue. Enough of siphoning off money for public schools.
