HB70

I support HB 70 which recognizes abortion as a critical part of women's comprehensive health care. I believe New Hampshire legislators need to codify laws that will not further limit nor restrict abortion in our state. Public opinion in New Hampshire has clearly shown support for abortion rights. A recent House Bill aimed at restricting abortion was met by an overwhelming number of people who objected strongly to those additional conditions. As an older woman who came of age before Roe vs. Wade, I have witnessed what happens to women when abortion is not a legal part of their healthcare. Now, our country's current state laws seem even more punitive and dangerous for women, their doctors, health care institutions and families. New Hampshire legislators have the opportunity to put abortion where it belongs -- within the confines of women's health care. Abortion is health care. Support this bill. Gretchen Draper. Stop the proliferation of private medical information coursing through multiple unknown actors in federal government and insurance payers.

EMR have the liability of getting hacked like all other electronics. Not only can forced EMR's create an unnecessary financial burden, but EMR can create problems during power outages. My medical records were incorrect because the provider used a template and checked off a box. This led to improper care. Forced EMR can be a medical liability for improper treatment as in my case.

As a resident of Bow, and independent family physician in Concord, I fully support this bill. This bill helps limit further intrusion of the insurance companies into the privacy of the provider-patient relationship, and into the practice of medicine.
