HB67

Dear House Election Law Committee; I am writing in Support of HB 67. Local Elections need to be accessible to all eligible voters whether they are physically or visually handicapped. Voting stations need to be wheelchair accessible, but also need to be accessible to the visually impaired. All who are eligible to vote ought to be able to exercise their franchise in all of our elections, from U.S. President to local school board. It is the state and town's responsibility to make sure that all citizens who are eligible are able to vote. Respectfully Submitted, Meghan Harford

I absolutely support voting access by all eligible voters!

We are watching how elected official protect the right to vote of the electorate. Providing accessible voting devices for local elections and creating a pilot program where they would be provided from the Secretary of State to towns for Spring of 2025 is a very important measure to assure that all have the right to vote. HB 67 should pass as it would ensure that towns are able to acquire these devices from the state by requiring the Secretary of State to enter into an agreement with municipalities for the use of accessible voting devices in every local election. This will be a step in the right direction towards protecting the right to vote and by extension our democracy. Please support this bill!

All residents who are registered to vote should be able to vote. Accessible voting equipment helps ensure all voices have the option to be heard. Please support HB 67.

There is absolutely no reason that voting should not be made accessible at the local level.

It's vitally important that any one with a disability has a way to vote at every polling place.

Equal access to voting is a critical component of democracy.

I support this bill as all citizens have the right to vote in any election regardless of their disability status. Accessible voting equipment is integral for the disabled community to share their viewpoints and vote for leaders that will represent their needs. ?

It is important for there to be free and fair elections. We should make it easier for people to vote.

I believe all elections should be accessible

This bill is very helpful to establish a program, named the Blue Envelope Program, where a motor vehicle driver with an autism spectrum disorder may carry and present to law enforcement a blue envelope containing written information and guidance on effective communication with the driver.

I as a parent with an adult that has a disability and has a love for politics, my son would benefit greatly and would like to be part of the community and to be able to have access to voting.

ACCESSIBILITY FOR ALL. Everyone deserves the right to vote and be able to do it easily.

Let's be sure everyone who wants to vote, votes.

Voting access for all is imperative.

I support HB 67 because people with disabilities have the right to use accessible voting machines in every election. They deserve this independence.

I am testifying in support of HB67 in support of accessible voting systems. This bill will allow all citizens to vote and make their voice heard in New Hampshire, granting them the rights and freedoms that are currently available to those without disabilities. .

Voting is a core right in our democracy. Supporting the ability of ALL of our citizens to vote is important.
