I am opposed to this bill. The purpose of the Registry of Deeds to record land transfers. and documents related to land transfers. I don't know what the purpose of the bill is supposed to be, but I don't see how this could be implemented in the Registry of Deeds office.

Sure .. we need to be watched by 1984-style see-all and control-all of rent at inflexible rate in registry document with the clear intent to impose rent-control. Forget about Mr. Market. Any other genius ideas?

This bill puts parents who are careful in their vaccination decision making who reject one or more doses of vaccines at risk of being declared "neglectful". This bill also puts parents who reject gender ideology to protect their child from harmful transgender drugs and procedures at risk of being declared "neglectful". Please amend the bill to protect parental rights and decisions.

Affordable housing is important, but this bill is not a solution to preventing excessive rental rates. 1) The language of this bill "prohibits landlords from using any algorithms or software to determine rental rates" is too vague. I'm assuming that the intention is to prohibit AI and specialized rent rate software. If that is the intent, it must be clarified. An algorithm is a process or set of rules to be followed in calculations or other problem-solving operations. The world runs on algorithms.When interpreted literally, which is how it would be interpreted in court, this bill prohibits a landlord to calculate rental rates based on the costs associated with the rental property. When I was a business owner, I used Excel to help me set my rates. Excel is software... 2) Regardless of the issues with the language of this bill, it creates an unnecessary burden on landlords, Registrars, and taxpayers. Keeping this information up-to-date will be difficult and costly. How will this requirement be funded and enforced?

I was recently elected Carroll County Register of Deeds but previously worked as a paralegal and title abstractor for almost 25 years. While I recognize the shortage of housing in NH, and I empathize with the difficulties associated with finding affordable rental properties, I don't see why the registry of deeds would be the proper place to house the records called for in this bill (not even taking into account that these records would not truly be real property records, or that the bill does not provide for recording fees, and so seems that it would be cost prohibitive for the registries to enact).
