As written and including a House and Senate member who will be paid travel for this commission I oppose. Good stewards of our tax dollars, we should be. Otherwise, the premise is good. Just let the law enforcement professionals come up with it and present it to the legislature. Predicted outcomes: cost of entry into NH or outside their parent's house is well beyond what most young people can afford, pay is lower than average in departments that need bodies, and an increasing anti LE sentiment in the country driving people to other careers. None of which the state legislature can effect. There are some darn smart LE professionals within the state though. Would love to hear what they come up with. Particularly with the addition of the university system representative to this board.
