Are cops expected to be experts on diesel vehicles now? Are we forcing vehicle owners to spend money to remove aftermarket items? Diesels, even the modern EPA ruined urine dosed diesels smoke. There are plenty of older diesels still on the roads with the 7.3 Fords and 5.9 Dodges. I don't own a diesel, and 'rolling coal' is stupid, but this is a bad bill which requires expertise our LEOs do not have and forces them to write tickets on very subjective criteria. Besides, everyone knows that to make diesels smoke more you have to either turn the fuel up or replace the injectors. It has nothing to do with the exhaust. How are you going to prove that on the side of the road without a toolbox full of tools and a few hours.

I believe this bill would allow intentional violation of our environmental rules for the convenience of some individuals, please adopt this bill. We do not need any more diesel fuel smoke in the air
