I support this bill which will require more specific information about the people stopped at the border and how the allocated funds are spent. While this program was created tp address the problem of unauthorized crossing by immigrants into New Hampshire from Canada. Data reported for 2024 shows no stops of illegal immigrants.

YES, collect data and make sure that the money spent is well spent. There is little obvious reason to support this program now when there is NO revenue coming into this state and so much money was spent on a false narrative.

This positive bill would add or expand reporting requirements to this program, giving us more data on how the program is working and who is being impacted by it. NH's citizens deserve to have this information.

I support HB 343. There was no apparent need for the northern border alliance program at the time it was proposed and funded. This bill would expand reporting requirements and spur the collection of data on the implementation of the program, its effectiveness, and the populations affected. What is it supposed to do and is it working? This kind of reporting is needed to assess both the utility of the program and whether NH needs to continue to spend important financial resources on it. I urge committee members to support HB 343.

This is needed to provide transparency to the non-lapsing Northern Border Alliance Fund. This northern border program needs to be held accountable to the NH taxpayers who fund their work.

.I support this bill because so far the facts show almost NO incidents on our northern border. We are spending a lot of money on that border security, and we should have the data to see if this is a worthwhile investment, not just a political agenda.

My name is Karen and I vote in Bristol. I SUPPORT this bill because we should be the full data of people crossing our borders.

I'm in southern Coos County and support the additional LE presence brought by the northern border initiative even if it is over an hour north of me. Per a 25 October release by Swanton Sector USBP, they apprehended 19,385 criminals from 97 different countries in fiscal year 24. Per their 2 October release, that was more than the last 17 fiscal years combined. How many in New Hampshire? Hardly any. Much of this is to do with geography and how soft the governments on the other parts of Swanton Sector are, but some is also due to our presence on the border. Peelian Principles and the absence of that specific crime call our presence on the border a success. Besides the border efforts that presence has aided a county where we might be lucky to have six cops on duty throughout the entire county at night. Last I heard was 50 US national encounters in the last six months and contained to a small portion of our most sparsely populated county. That shows Troop F needs some more permanent bodies here. I fully support any bill that adds transparency to any government spending and law enforcement actions.

This legislation would add access to facts and figures regarding the efficacy of expenditures. Good common sense bill and it should be supported by anyone who is and advocate for fiscal responsibility.

This is a stupid move...having diversity in all aspects of policy will help to improve the health and wellbeing of all NH residents. We also need to assure that everyone is in the pool for hiring, etc. A meritocracy is diverse so we should not be afraid of aspiring for health equity and environmental justice.

While I question the danger of illegal immigrants and drugs entering from Canada, I support the additional reporting requirement.
