Railroads have an important place in NH's transportation future as our highways get more and more congested. A study should be initiated and funds appropriated to do the study..

Rail is an underutilized transportation asset that could enhance both public access to the state and economic opportunities. It is essential that we capitalize on both freight and passenger rail. I’m exceptionally supportive of expanding rail in New Hampshire.

I especially support this bill because it would establish a study to evaluate the future of railroads in NH.

What a boon to NH tourism and local economies to have rail traveling to our towns. Our response to crowded roads has always been to build more roads. Let's give rail a try! We'll have fewer accidents due to collisions or bad road conditions. Commuters can relax, read, and arrive at their destination refreshed.

We must curb traffic and pollution by putting a high speed rail line in along the seacoast and I-89. This will pay for itself. The I91 Vermonter is packed every weekend. To get to Concord, Manchester, Portsmouh & Boston by train would be used by many people.

This bill is important to begin to take a look at rail in NH. Auto transportation causes tremendous pollution in the state and also causes traffic congestion on our highways, even in the north part of the state. Please support this bill.

Would love to see more things like this added to our town to make the wilderness more accessible for folks of all ages and abilities! It’s a sign of a thriving town.

Strongly in favor of building a recreation path along the abandoned rail bank, either on top of it or beside it. There is not a safe way to bike or walk along state routes 113 into Conway, 41 into Ossipee, and especially not on 16. A rec path would encourage healthy transportation and is a great addition to our rural community and outdoor recreation/ tourism economy. There is potential to later connect to North Conway NH (where many residents work) as well as Fryeburg ME, & east to create a larger healthy alternative transportation network. Much of the surrounding land is in current use with recreation status and would further connect residents to outdoor recreation areas and opportunities in town, near Silver Lake and on the other end, Madison Boulder. It will be a beautiful 20+ mile ride!
