Douglas Trottier for Belknap District 8 Belmont I want to apologize to the chair and members of this committee. As the Prime Sponsor, there was a mix up on the hearing date of this bill. I was informed this bill was taking of the calendar for today and was just informed it was being conducted today. I am at work and will not be able to make the hearing. However, I am writing in support of this bill. This bill is just an insurance bill for our First Responders in the event they are critically injured in the line of duty, while serving the people of this great state. I am asking to increase the biannual amount from $500,000.00 to $ 1,000,000.00. Just because the amount would be increased, does not mean it will be used. Also, a first responder who applies for these fund have to qualify before receiving them. I ask this committee to support our first responders and pass this bill. Thanks Rep.
